I am a sixties something guy from Canada. I am about a half inch (9 months) from attempting to retire. As anyone who lives in a country like Canada will attest, the idea of retiring is a daunting one. The cost of living here is silly, the lack of gorgeous ladyboys is frightening, and the cost of hiring a one nighter (shemale)totally ridiculous. I have been to the Philippines multiple times and dated a couple of gorgeous LBs there, and considered retiring there except it is a pretty violent place (at least in the south where my friends are) so I’m reconsidering and looking at Thailand for that (cheap) retirement. I know there are a lot of ex-pats there so the culture shock is lessened by that. In the end, I’ll be there (Pattaya - Jotimen) in August to do some serious investigation, and after my (hopefully) last contract in central Asia is over in December, 2011, I’ll make my choice. Philippines or Thailand, can’t afford it here.
