i think you are being very humble in regard to this as you have submitted no less than 9 detailed posts in an attempt to assist (as well as LWFM who is also a BM who took the time to help out). so give yourself a bit of credit. again, thanks. -

possibly you are right, but i remember a time when free or not, the functionality of the site and accessibility for members had some level of priority wherein issues of this nature are addressed in a timely manner, and members were kept up to date as to what was happening. this thread was particularly started to address what is a fairly important issue regarding site functionality. after years of being a contributing member i had issues that made posting and navigating very difficult, as well as at least one other contributing member. i would have thought that sometime during all the posting, and all the BMs that were graciously trying to help, admin would have jumped in at some point and commented, asked a few questions in an attempt to help, and participate. i apologize to anyone who may thnk my post seemed harsh, but i really would like to know why this thread was ignored. -

you could be right, but seeing as no one from admin has bothered to reply to any of this discussion (for the last 27 posts) its hard to tell if they did anything and if so, was it intentional. can someone in admin reply and let us know why you have chosen to not reply to any of this discussion, or offer any kind of assistance or up-date, regarding all of this? -

ok ... thanks ... +1 for the assist & one last question: if i have not (knowingly/personally) changed a thing in regard to my software, settings, my firewall, router, connection or any other aspect of the operating system, how is it that all of a sudden one day (coincidentally when the search thing was being addressed) would i all of sudden have all these problems arise, and Vic also? further, my speed is averaging 12.16 Mbps, and i have not seen it less than 11 Mbps in ages ... i would think that is sufficient. Yes/No? -

IT USED TO BE WHEN WE HAD PROBLEMS, AND A DISCUSSION WAS IN PROCESS, THAT SOMEONE WOULD MONITOR IT. I DO NOT SEE THAT OCCURRING NOW, OR DID I MISS SOMETHING? again i will say thanks for trying to help, and again i will say/ask ... if i have changed nothing, my entire system is up-to-date and has been all along, i was always able to access the forum and navigate and post with ease, AND I CAN DO THE SAME ON THAI VISA FORUM WHICH RUNS THE SAME SCRIPT, why would any of what you are saying have occurred or be a problem? PLEASE REPLY TO THAT QUESTION SPECIFICALLY: I REPEAT, OTHER FORUMS ARE NOT GIVING ME PROBLEMS THAT RUN THE SAME SCRIPT, WHY WOULD I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS FORUM AND NOT THOSE? IT MAKES NO SENSE TO ME AT ALL. IF THAT MAKES SENSE TO YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN IT TO ME IN SIMPLE TERMS. YOU SEEM TO KEEP AVOIDING THIS FACT/QUESTION OR SKIPPING OVER IT. and now i read Vics post above and it makes me even more curious. AGAIN, THANKS FOR TRYING. -

i have had similar problems vefore and i too for a long time had my FF rolled back to version 3.somehting, but problems arose again after awhile and i also want to be able to take advantage of certain add-ons, so i am now curent with FF. again,,,,,,,,,, i say, thanks, but everything is up-to-date i chcecked all that a few times. no protection plugins. i had o problems unitl when it was announced about the search function dis-function, and now that is supposed to be fixed, but i am still sitting here with all of these problems. i am now replyng from IE, a browser i try not to use. -

i typically use Firefox, and for all the time i have been a memebr that is what i have used for posting, etc. i did not start to experience these problems until just a day or so ago. i am now in IE and everything seems fine. this confuses me as i keep saying i can navigate all the other forums using this script, but not this one since the problems with search arose. i just used the quote function and i am now in quick reply and i will assume when i click post it will. edit: yes it posted and it works fine. so what is the bug with FF and this particular site? so why is it so moody, for lack of a better term? -

thanks for the help, but everything is up to date, and all that is needed to not be blocked is not. as i have mentioned in every post, i can get all functions to perform on the Thai Visa forum and they use the very same script for that board, so why would the settings be different for this board? -

i hope someone can help me ... the search function will not process, before it would bt would not return a search. now it won;t do a thing. further, i can not select where i wish to search. and, i can not get multi-quote, or quote to function. and i can not post in quick reply ant the bottom of the page, i must use the Reply to this Topic function at the top of this page. i also cannot load pictures properly. i use the browse for images function, i can select the images form my HDD, i click on open, and it appears to do nothing. yet when i submit the post the pictures appear as attachments, but i had no idea they were attached. i can then go in and edit them and place them where i wish within the post. the drop down menu next to the sign-out button does drop down now but it won;t hide and stays open. i have no idea of knowing if it is the site or my laptop. any assistance would be appreciated, i am dazed and confused, and quite frustrated by all of this. please keep in mind as i have mentioned numerous times above, when i log onto Thai Visa forum it all works fine. -

as i said before ... and it worked perfectly every time and that forum is using the same script. so does anyone have a solution for me? further, i can't search or get the search criteria selector to function either. yet i can on other forums running the same script. i am running a legit factory installed Windows 7 on a Dell XPS that is 6 weeks old, i really do not think i should be experiencing these kinds of problems. any suggestions would help and please reply in plain English as i am not so trendy as to know what half of the previous responses meant.
